We launched our brand new annual Summer Jackpot Raffle last year to help raise an additional £250,000 to fund our vital services, whilst giving new and existing lottery players the chance to win an amazing £25,000.
Lucky winner, Steve, said:
I started supporting Myton by taking part in their 2019 Cycle Challenge, cycling 60 miles to raise money. That was when I signed up to their lottery. I already knew about Myton as my family had friends who sadly died there, and my partner and I also had a close friend cared for at Myton three years ago. It’s definitely a cause close to my heart.
As well as playing our weekly lottery and Summer Jackpot Raffle, Steve decided to purchase extra chances – and it was one of those that won him the £25,000 prize. Congratulations Steve from all of us at The Myton Hospices!
Steve added:
To receive the phone call telling me I had won was mind blowing. It honestly took a day or two to sink in. I just couldn’t think straight for a couple of days.
As for how he’ll spend his winnings, Steve has something special in mind.
We’re planning a once in the lifetime holiday to the other side of the world! Thank you, Myton, for making a dream closer to happening!
