The Myton Hospices Moonlight Walk raises over £282,000 in record-breaking success!

Warwick Castle and Warwick town centre once again shone under the moonlight as over 1,750 incredible fundraisers came together to support The Myton Hospices.

Together, supporters have raised £282,048 – the most ever raised at a Myton event!

This remarkable achievement will help us continue to provide our specialist care free of charge to people and their loved ones living with life-limiting illnesses across Coventry and Warwickshire.

The Myton Hospices - Moonlight Walk 2026

Natalie Walker, Events and Campaigns Manager at The Myton Hospices, said:

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who took part in this year’s Moonlight Walk. The support shown by participants, volunteers and partners helps ensure we can continue to be there for people and families who need our care, now and in the future.

Every pound raised helps sustain our specialist hospice services across Coventry and Warwickshire, enabling us to support people at a time when they need us most.

Did you know…? It costs over £15 million every year to provide our services free of charge to our patients and their loved ones. As a charity, with less than 20% of our funding coming from the NHS, we must raise more than £12 million this year.

Thanks to the incredible success of the Moonlight Walk, we can ensure that our patients and their loved ones can access the care they need and deserve.

Participants enjoyed 5km and 10km routes through Warwick town centre and the stunning grounds of Warwick Castle, with thousands taking to the streets throughout the evening.

Please see the event photos below for highlights from the night. Can you spot yourself or someone you know?

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our sponsors Crowngate Construction and Cewe for their ongoing support and for sponsoring this year’s event.

Thanks also go to Warwick Castle for hosting the Moonlight Walk, and to Warwick District Council for their ongoing support and enabling the event to take place.

Of course, a big thank you goes to David Bradley for joining us on the night to officially open the Moonlight Walk, particularly as he was celebrating his birthday.

A number of partners helped bring the evening to life across Warwick and Warwick Castle. Special thanks go to Matt Print for leading the pre-walk Zumba warm-up sessions, setting the tone for an energetic evening.

Our thanks also go to Busy Bees Nursery in Warwick and the Unicorn Pub for hosting a cheer point in Chase Meadow – your support gave our walkers a real boost!

We were also delighted to be joined by performances from Rock Choir, with over 100 members performing in Warwick Town Square, Kirsty Ann & RockinWarren at Warwick Racecourse, and Pop Voices Choir at Warwick Castle.

A special thank you to Sarah Faulkner, Chair of Trustees at The Myton Hospices, for delivering an incredible speech.

Finally, we would like to say a heartfelt thank you to our team of over 100 volunteers, including marshals and on-site support teams, who helped ensure the event ran safely and supported participants throughout the routes. We simply couldn’t do it without you.

From all of us at The Myton Hospices, thank you to everyone who took part in this year’s Moonlight Walk. We hope to see you again soon!
