Save the Dates for our Summer Celebrations…

Our summer celebrations begin with Volunteers’ Week (1st to 7th June) – a national campaign recognising the incredible contribution of volunteers across the UK. Look out for stories, activities and updates celebrating the difference you make at Myton.

Volunteers’ Week also marks the starts of our annual summer events:

  • Rugby Myton Support Hub: Tuesday 23rd June.
  • Coventry and Warwick dates coming soon.

Can you spare a couple of extra hours a month?

We know that life can be busy, so we truly appreciate any time our volunteers give to Myton. Our flexible volunteering opportunities can fit around you and your commitments, across a range of locations to suit you.

Community Relationship Volunteers…

Our Community Relationship Volunteers are the friendly face of The Myton Hospices out in the local community. By raising awareness of what we do and why, you will help us to raise vital funds and ensure that we can reach more people.

You could support coffee mornings, quiz nights or fairs, attend cheque presentations, give talks or run information stands, or distribute flyers and posters to promote fundraising events and campaigns.

Schools Engagement Volunteers…

By delivering assemblies in schools across Coventry and Warwickshire, you’ll spark young people’s curiosity and compassion, helping them understand the importance of caring for others while raising vital funds for patients and families. It’s a rewarding role, sharing stories, planting seeds of kindness, and knowing that your time directly supports the incredible care Myton provides. Plus, you’ll also build confidence, gain experience and make meaningful connections.

Collection Box Volunteers…

Our collection tins are a vital source of income. In this role, you will develop relationships with local businesses and community venues, arranging for collection boxes to be placed on-site. You will visit locations at a time that suits you, collecting and replacing tins as needed.

Myton Business Networks…

Are you or have you been a corporate sales professional, experienced in selling to businesses and managing long term accounts? Would you like to re-use those skills for the good of the Myton cause? If so, then would you consider helping Myton to connect with important local businesses to help us generate the additional funding we need to open three more much needed beds?

We are launching an ambitious multi-year programme to strengthen our relationships with the local business community. This is a unique opportunity to join the task force shaping our approach and to play a key role in building senior-level connections with local business leaders. Volunteers will help us understand what businesses value in a partnership with Myton and contribute to creating proposals that could help us raise additional funds.

We are looking to recruit 3–4 volunteers for this initiative. The role is highly flexible, designed to fit around your availability.

If you’re interested in any of these opportunities, please contact the Volunteering Team for more information or for support with the application process: volunteering@mytonhospice.org or 01926 838836.

Assemble Relaunch…

Assemble is our online volunteer recruitment and management system. Since 2024, the Volunteering Team has used it to manage applications and volunteer data behind the scenes.Following your feedback, we’re excited to relaunch an improved version for all volunteers in summer 2026 – available as both an app and web platform.

For volunteers this means you can:

  • Update your personal details, including health and accessibility needs
  • View your shifts
  • Contact your volunteer manager or the Volunteering Team
  • Connect with other volunteers
  • Complete training online
  • Access volunteering policies and procedures

For Myton, this means:

  • Secure and efficient data management
  • Quick access to emergency contact details
  • Easier communication with volunteers
  • Improved reporting to celebrate your contributions and achievements

More information, including training and guidance, will be shared soon.

If staying in touch online isn’t for you, please don’t worry! While this will be our primary way of communicating with volunteers, we won’t stop sending updates by post or contacting you by phone.

Thank you once again from all of us at Myton!
