Celebrating 35 years of support from Rugby Myton Hospice 250+ Club

35 years ago, we opened our first hospice in Warwick. In the same year, the Rugby Myton Hospice 250+ Club was formed.

The aim of the club was to support Myton and the work we do by asking locals to subscribe to an annual membership to raise money for Myton. The club had originally aimed to recruit 250 supporters for a year long campaign but given all the time and effort that had gone into recruiting members for the year it was decided that the club would continue.

To this day, the club continues to recruit members and now has over 500 members who have helped the club raise their highest annual donation of £10,800. In total, Rugby Myton Hospice 250+ Club has raised more than £200,000!

They recently held their latest coffee morning in Rugby – giving the team from The Myton Hospices chance to say thank you personally to them for their continued support. This event raised the fantastic amount of £420.75’

Alongside encouraging locals to join their yearly membership, the Rugby Myton Hospice 250+ Club also organise a number of other fundraising events for Myton including coffee mornings and strawberry teas.

We would not be able to provide our services without the support we receive from the local community. It is thanks to the incredible generosity of community groups such as Rugby Myton Hospice 250+ Club that we are able to expand services for our patients and their loved ones.

We really value the longstanding partnership we have with Rugby Myton Hospice 250+ Club and would like to thank each individual member of the club, both past and present, for supporting our work and helping to generate an outstanding amount of money for Myton.

    Hi Sophie
I’m editor of the Bilton parish magazine. I’ve been given a printed poster to advertise a coffee morning for Rugby Myton 250+ club on 30th June. I was hoping that you would be able to send me an electronic version if possible.

    Many thanks
