Ethan Flint rallied his friends and family together for a second year to raise £1,140 for The Myton Hospices!

The troupe of young actors, and some family members, performed Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Newburgh School in Warwick to raise the money. They were also the opening performance in the beautiful gardens of Warwick Myton Hospice for our annual Summer Fete! The day of the Summer Fete was also Ethan’s 8th birthday, making the show even more special!

This year’s Summer Fete was our busiest year yet, raising over £15,000!

Ethan Flint - The Myton Hospices - Summer Fete

Asian street food, ice creams, a BBQ, Pimms, cakes, chocolate, tea and coffee, and plenty of cold soft drinks kept everyone refreshed while they explored the wide range of stalls with everything from bric-a-brac to artwork on sale.

Face painting, a bouncy castle and craft table kept the kids busy and everyone enjoyed pretending they were somewhere tropical – or at the seaside – with our photo booth!

Our very own Choir...

In addition to A Midsummer Night’s Dream, people also enjoyed performances from the Myton staff choir, dance groups Jaykays and Fit 2 Dance, vintage style singer Celina Rose, the cast of The Greatest Show and much more!

We want to say a huge thank you to...

Ethan and to everyone who had a stall, performed or volunteered on the day, to everyone who came to support the afternoon, and to sponsors Austin Heath – we could not continue to be there for people with terminal and life limiting illnesses when they need us most without all of your continued support!

Our next event is... Glow in the Moonlight!
