The Myton Hospices say ‘thank you’ to wonderful volunteers

As part of National Volunteers’ Week, The Myton Hospices are thanking the caring people who volunteer their time.

Volunteers’ Week runs from 1st to 7th June and Myton’s Coventry, Rugby and Warwick sites will all be marking the occasion with BBQs for volunteers.

Around 1,000 volunteers take their place in all aspects of Myton – from keeping our 20 shops and eBay store running, to lending a hand at our three hospice sites and organising fundraising events – we wouldn’t be able to continue to offer our services without their help.

Charlotte Witteridge, Volunteering Development Manager at The Myton Hospices, said:

Myton is lucky enough to have an invaluable team of more than 1,000 volunteers without whom we would not be able to provide the services that we do. Carrying out a variety of different roles based in both our hospices and out in the local community, volunteers are vital to supporting the work of Myton. Volunteers Week provides us with an opportunity to show how valued our volunteers are, provide thanks, and to showcase the fantastic work that they carry out for Myton.

We have also recently introduced an induction booklet for volunteers in recognition of the significant role they play.
