Volunteers needed for Walk for Myton in Warwick!

We need volunteers for a variety of roles for our Walk for Myton fundraising event on Sunday 14th May. Walk for Myton is a sponsored walk which starts and ends at Warwick Myton Hospice and we need people to help us ensure that everything runs smoothly on the day. Whether you can spare a couple of hours, or more, we’d love to hear from you and would really appreciate your support!

Marshals

We have various marshal spots along the route, as people set off from 8.30am, some of these will finish at approximately 11am whereas some of the points further along the route will require marshals to stay a little longer. Please get in touch and we can talk through the various points and timings with you.

Parking Marshals 8am -10am

This role will involve directing participants to the parking sites: Myton School coaching bay, main Warwick School car park and the Social services (Myton Lane) car park if still available.

Myton Photo Booth 9.30am – 4pm

The Myton Photo booth consists of a Myton logo backdrop where we encourage participants to have their photo taken. Volunteers will greet participants, encourage them to have a photo and let them know it will be posted on our Facebook events page. We will provide you with a camera to use.

Monty the Bear Mascot! 9.45am – 4pm

This role involves dressing up as Myton’s beloved mascot Monty the Bear! You will need to be as enthusiastic as possible and wave and pose for photos with participants!

Back markers for the 3 mile and 6 mile routes

This role involves following the last participants around the routes to make sure everyone returns safely to the hospice. You will also be required to remove the signage from around the route as you go.

This year we are hoping to raise £40,000 from Walk for Myton – enough to fund our Warwick Day Hospice for almost 12 weeks. We can’t do it without people like you!
