The Myton Hospices - A Special Kind of Care
Myton Nurse Appeal
![]() |
We are now into our third month of The BBC Coventry & Warwickshire Myton Nurse Appeal, and would like to thank everyone who has been involved so far!
At the end of last year, the ‘knitted royal family’ was listed on our Ebay site and went for the grand sum of £200!
The Priory Theatre in Kenilworth also hosted a special Myton Nurse Appeal performance of Dick Whittington donating 50 free tickets to Myton and raising a fantastic £185 on the night.
Currently the BBC are promoting our ‘Don’t Dump it Donate it’ campaign and encouraging businesses, schools and individuals to donate their good quality, but unwanted, Christmas presents to one of our Myton Shops. We’ve had a great response so far with pledges of support from some really big employers such as The Coventry Transport Museum, The Herbert Art Gallery and Coventry City Council. Please call 01926 838899 if you would like to get involved.
We’d also like to say a big thank you to all of the staff and customers of the pubs that have signed up to Bob Brolly’s Pub Challenge, running fundraising activities from quizzes to curry nights!
We’re thrilled with how much support there has been for the Myton Nurse Appeal and really grateful to everyone who is taking part. Please let us know if you are getting involved – we’d love to hear what you’re doing!
Please keep checking back for details of more exciting events to come and if you need any more information about the BBC Coventry and Warwickshire Myton Nurse Appeal, then please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Our aim for all our patients is:
-
To ensure privacy and dignity at all times.
-
To encourage involvement in planning and delivering care for those who wish to do so, having provided information about care, treatment or illness with the time for discussion with staff, family and carers.
-
That wishes are respected, understood and adhered to wherever practically possible.
-
To provide an open and honest environment to share hopes, worries, fears and concerns.
