The Myton Hospices recognised at Coventry and Warwickshire Business and Community Awards 2026

We are proud to share that Coventry and Warwickshire Business and Community Awards 2026 has recognised The Myton Hospices as finalists in two prestigious categories.

Myton was awarded finalist in the People First – Commitment to Workforce category, which celebrates organisations that prioritise the wellbeing, development and engagement of their staff and volunteers.

We were also awarded finalist in the Not for Profit Champion – Community Organisation of the Year category, highlighting charities that demonstrate dedication, innovation and impact in supporting their communities.

Being named finalists is a significant honour and reflects the strength of our people-focused culture and the meaningful impact of our work in the community.

These achievements reflect our dedicated staff and volunteers and the vital role they play in delivering compassionate care across Coventry and Warwickshire. Their commitment ensures we can continue to support patients and their families when they need us most, now and in the future.

With over 200 entries across the 11 categories, and just 60 finalists selected, to be recognised alongside so many deserving organisations is a significant accolade. We were delighted to join fellow finalists at the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry to celebrate the achievements of businesses and community organisations across the region. We would like to extend our congratulations to all winners – each one truly deserving of recognition for the positive impact they are making.

Ruth Freeman, CEO of The Myton Hospices, said:

To be named finalists is a wonderful achievement for Myton. It reflects the compassion, dedication and teamwork shown across our organisation, and the meaningful difference we make to the lives of people we support in our community.

We would like to thank every member of staff and all our volunteers for their continued commitment and care, which make this possible. We are also incredibly grateful to our supporters and wider community, whose ongoing generosity enables us to continue providing our services free of charge to those who need us most.

It costs over £15 million every year to provide our services free of charge to our patients and their loved ones. As a charity, with less than 20% of our funding coming from the NHS, we must raise more than £12 million this year.
