The 2017 Cycle Challenge was our biggest yet! A record breaking 503 cyclists took on the challenge in aid of The Myton Hospices on Sunday 6th August.
Setting off from Warwick Myton Hospice, the cyclists completed their chosen route of 50km, 100km or 100miles around Warwickshire and the Cotswolds.
On return to Warwick Myton Hospice, cyclists received a medal for their achievements as well as a complimentary burger, and a massage from local therapists Fire and Earth Sports Massage.
We have raised over £22,000 so far and donations are still coming in, we are hoping the event will have raised in excess of £30,000 for Myton.
If you still have sponsorship you would like to pay in you can send a cheque to The Myton Hospices, Myton Lane, Myton Road, Warwick CV34 6PX, or pop in and see us. Online JustGiving page sponsorship will come directly to us.
Thank you
Myton would like to thank Western Power Distribution for their continued support by sponsoring this year’s Cycle Challenge as well as Mike Vaughan Cycle in Kenilworth who provided technical support throughout the event and kindly donated a Trek 1.1 bike for a free prize draw.
We would also like to thank Fire and Earth Sports Massage, Simon Coates for taking photos throughout the event, Ted Bear from The Engine in Kenilworth and Ed who manned the BBQ, and all the wonderful volunteers who gave up their time to support this year’s Cycle Challenge.
Congratulations
We want to say a huge well done to Ash Miles and Jessica O’Riley who were crowned the King and Queen of the Mytons! These two hardy cyclists made it to the top of the hill climb in the fastest time.
Congratulations also go to Faye Middleton who won the Mike Vaughan prize draw.
