Taking place from Warwick Myton Hospice on Sunday 2nd August, saddle up for the ever-popular 50km, 100km and 100 mile distances. With routes to suit all capabilities, roll through the picturesque villages of Warwickshire and the Cotswolds whilst supporting your local hospice.
And back by popular demand for our 100 Mile Cycle is the legendary Saintbury Hill, where you’ll test yourself mentally and physically in our timed hill climb.
One man and one woman will be in with the chance of being crowned Myton Champion and will receive a bespoke winners jersey.
Once you’ve completed your cycle, you’ll be welcomed back to Warwick Myton Hospice where there will be food, drinks and entertainment.
With your help and support, we hope to raise £70,000 from this event which could fund the running costs of our Warwick Myton Hospice for two weeks.
As the only hospice provider of specialist palliative care in the area, and the only one with inpatient beds, these funds will help ensure we can continue to provide essential support for people living with life-limiting illnesses, and their families, across Coventry and Warwickshire.
Against a backdrop of increased demand, rising costs and a national funding crisis that is forcing many hospices to reduce services and cut staff, your support has never been more critical.
Natalie Walker, Events and Campaigns Manager at The Myton Hospices, said:
Our annual Cycle Challenge is always a fun day of cycling, bringing together supporters of all abilities, with a little friendly competition along the way. It’s a great way to support hospice care this summer, and every mile ridden helps ensure we can continue providing the care that people across Coventry and Warwickshire so desperately need and deserve.
