The Myton Hospices celebrates over £40,000 raised by KENFEST

Everyone at The Myton Hospices is celebrating an incredible fundraising milestone as KENFEST, Kenilworth’s much-loved beer and music festival, has now donated more than £40,000 to support our patients and their families since launching in 2022.

This year alone, the volunteer-led festival raised an amazing £17,342.21, making 2026 another hugely successful year for the event.

Held annually at Kenilworth Rugby Club, KENFEST has become a highlight in the local calendar, bringing together live music, great food and drink, family entertainment and an incredible sense of community – all while raising vital funds for local hospice care.

A huge part of this year’s fundraising total came from the return of the KENFEST Bike Ride, which saw more than 60 riders take on the circular route from the Rugby Club to Napton Cidery, raising valuable funds to help Myton continue supporting people living with terminal illnesses and their loved ones.

Jai Purewal, KENFEST Founder, said:

The fact that KENFEST has now donated over £40,000 to The Myton Hospices is amazing and is thanks to the hard work and generosity of the people of Kenilworth and further afield. We are proud of this achievement, helping to ensure that these vital services are available to those who need them.

Ruth Freeman, CEO at The Myton Hospices, said:

We are so grateful to everyone involved in making KENFEST such an incredible success once again. From the organisers and volunteers to the riders, sponsors, performers, suppliers and everyone who came along to support – this amazing total is only possible because of your generosity and dedication.

To have raised more than £40,000 in just four years is a phenomenal achievement, and we cannot thank the KENFEST community enough for choosing to support Myton.

It costs over £15 million every year to provide our services free of charge to our patients and their loved ones. As a charity, with less than 20% of our funding coming from the NHS, we must raise more than £12 million this year.

Community events, like KENFEST, make a real difference, helping us continue to provide compassionate care and support for people living with terminal illnesses, and their families, across Coventry and Warwickshire.

On behalf of everyone at The Myton Hospices – our patients, families, staff and volunteers – thank you to the whole KENFEST community for your ongoing support. Every pint poured, ticket bought and mile cycled helps us be there when it matters most.
