We have launched a new Free Wills Service in partnership with six local solicitors, making it easier for people to plan for the future while supporting Myton.
The service gives people aged 55 and over the opportunity to have a simple Will professionally prepared by one of the participating local solicitors free of charge.
The new service also provides the opportunity to consider leaving a gift in your Will to Myton, helping us provide specialist hospice care for local people and their families for generations to come.
A gift in your Will, no matter the size, can make a real difference to the care we are able to provide. Gifts in Wills currently fund the care of 1 in 4 patients, helping ensure people across Coventry and Warwickshire can access specialist palliative and end of life care when they need it most.
The service has been made possible through a partnership with six local Solicitors: Alsters Kelley Solicitors, Blythe Liggins Solicitors, Mander Hadley Solicitors, Penmans Solicitors LLP, Seymours Solicitors and Willsons Solicitors. They are working with us to help people make a Will and raise awareness of the difference gifts in Wills can make to the future of hospice care.
Jason Levy, Director of Income Generation at The Myton Hospices, said:
Making a Will is an important step in planning for the future, giving you peace of mind that the people and things that matter most to you are taken care of. We’re pleased to be able to offer this new service to our supporters, with our trusted partner solicitors, making it a little easier to put those plans in place. We’re incredibly grateful to them and everyone who chooses to remember Myton in their Will, enabling us to be there for local families in the future.
Rachel Blackburn from Mander Hadley Solicitors said:
Myton is an incredible local charity that we’ve worked with for a long time, and we’re really pleased to be able to support them with their Free Wills Service. It’s a great scheme that encourages people to make a Will while also giving them the opportunity to support a fantastic local charity.

As a local firm, we believe it’s important to give something back to our community, and Myton is a charity that does such valuable work for local people and their families. Local charities rely on the support of local businesses and organisations, so we’re pleased to be working with Myton on this initiative and helping make a difference in our community.
Shaun Fleming from Seymours Solicitors said:
At Seymours Solicitors we have always believed in the importance of giving back to the community that we serve. Having supported The Myton Hospices for many years, we have seen the incredible difference they make to people and their families during some of life’s most difficult times. It is a wonderful opportunity to use our expertise to support such a worthwhile cause, and we are proud to continue our longstanding relationship with The Myton Hospices.
Neil Raiseborough from Alsters Kelley Solicitors said:
We have dealt with numerous charity Will schemes over the years but none is more worthy of our commitment than The Myton Hospices’ scheme, due to its deep roots in the local communities, helping local people, and many of our clients, in the most extraordinary way, with kindness and compassion, at time when it is so very much needed.
If you’re under 55 and not eligible for our Free Wills Service you can still make or update your Will through Myton. Our Make a Will Week takes place each March, when you can make or update a basic Will with a participating local solicitor in return for a donation to Myton.
