Find out how your school can support your local hospice, whilst having fun and learning…
Did you know…? We have to raise over £12.7 million every year to continue providing our services free of charge to our patients and their loved ones. We rely on our local community to help us make a big difference to the lives of people across Coventry and Warwickshire.
At The Myton Hospices, we offer a range of engaging fundraising activities designed to fit seamlessly into your school schedule and curriculum.
Our programmes help students learn important values whilst making a real difference to local causes.
With everything provided and full support from our team, participation is easy, fun and rewarding.

Exciting Activities for Primary Schools
- Care for a Bear - children take care of a bear for a week, learning responsibility whilst fundraising
- Nurse Appeal - pupils take on the characteristics and values of a nurse, such as being kind and hard-working, to raise money and awareness
- Helping Hand - students raise sponsorship by lending a helping hand, such as sharing toys and books, listening to others, or assisting with tasks.
Our team will visit your school to deliver an assembly and provide all the materials you need. Every child who takes part is entered into a draw to win a bear, so everyone can celebrate their efforts regardless of how much they raise.

Teaching values and making a difference
Our programmes support the teaching of key values such as kindness, caring and helpfulness. By delivering assemblies, providing materials and managing the fundraising process, we aim to take some of the pressure off staff whilst offering students a meaningful and enjoyable experience that:
- Develops life skills
- Creates community spirit
- Supports a local charity
Most importantly, you’ll be supporting our vital work, providing care and support for people living with and caring for those with a life-limiting illness. As the only hospice in Coventry and Warwickshire providing specialist palliative and end of life care – and the only one with inpatient beds, your support makes a real difference. Every fundraising effort, no matter the size, helps ensure more people can access the care they so desperately need and deserve.
Fundraising Appeals...
Nurse Appeal...
As part of our Urgent Appeal, we invite you to sponsor a nurse for a week and experience what it’s like to be one of our incredible nurses while raising funds for The Myton Hospices.
Inside each box, you’ll find words that capture the unique qualities of our nurses. Alongside each word, we’ve suggested an activity designed to make you feel appreciated and inspired. Try as many as you can, and tick the box once you’ve completed each one.
