Teddy Bear’s Picnic

If you go down to the woods today… you could lend a huge helping paw to The Myton Hospices.

Now that we can all get together again (in a Covid-safe way of course) we are asking families, nurseries, parent and toddler groups and young schoolchildren to raise vital money for Myton, simply by hosting your very own Teddy Bear’s picnic and donating a small amount for the pleasure.

For those kind enough to sign up, Myton will provide you with a small poster to promote your picnic, along with some fun activities for the children – and adults –  to take part in, including colouring, a teddy bear quiz and pin the nose on our Myton Mascot, Monty Bear.

If you would like to get involved and support Myton at a time when we’ve never needed it more, please register your interest here and a member of our team will be in touch to help get you started on your fun and fundraising journey.

The Myton Hospices - Teddy Bear's Picnic - Mid Page Banner

The Myton Hospices cares for adults across Coventry and Warwickshire with a life-limiting illness, and their families, from the day they receive their diagnosis.

We have three hospices: in Coventry, Rugby and Warwick.

Last year, despite the challenges of Covid-19, which limited our ability to offer some of our services, we still supported 1,400 people and their families, in our hospices, via our patient & family support services, and in the community through Myton at Home

And the difference your support will make is amazing:

  • £12 will fund a patient’s meals for one day.
  • £25 would pay for one hour’s specialist nursing care.
  • £81 would fund five children’s bereavement counselling sessions
  • £106 would fund a specialist Myton at Home nurse visit.
