This year, we were lucky enough to be joined by 21 fantastic teams of supporters at The Welcombe Golf Club for our annual Golf Day. With a great atmosphere and fierce competition, an incredible £19,076.60 was raised for The Myton Hospices!
Before hitting the course, our golfers were welcomed by the wonderful Welcombe Club Pro and fuelled up with tea or coffee and a bacon roll!
Grateful for the dry weather, the day was enjoyed by all, with several competitions taking place throughout the course. Congratulations to the winner of the Longest Drive, Mark Weston from team Wynchwood, and to Jack Ashcroft, also from team Wynchwood for winning Nearest the Pin!
A huge thank you to everyone who took part and congratulations to the top three teams! Well done to ‘Forest and the Gumps’ for coming in first, ‘BI Johnson Contractors’ for securing second place, and ‘Cass Worldwide’ for landing third!
During their game, our golfers were treated to a complementary beer from the Beer Buggy supplied by The Engine Pub in Kenilworth and pizza was also provided during the day by the fantastic Dough & Brew, which went down rather well!
After the golf, the teams were welcomed back to the club house for a delicious two-course BBQ dinner, auction, raffle and spin to win, with amazing prizes up for grabs including vouchers for meals, spa days and sporting events. We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who donated such generous prizes and congratulations to the lucky winners!

We were so fortunate to have such great prizes up for grabs at the auction, including a luxury getaway at Stratford Parks, a one night’s stay at the popular Rose & Crown in Warwick, a three nights stay in the Cotswolds, family tickets to Warwick Castle, Warwick Racecourse VIP experience, a holiday in the Isle of Wight with Wight Waves Holidays and a signed Australia Rugby shirt.

We have recently launched our Urgent Appeal to raise £240,000 so more people in Coventry and Warwickshire can access a Hospice Bed when they need it.
