Jaguar Land Rover hosted a Diwali celebration on Friday 8th November. It was a wonderful evening of food, dancing, poetry and multicultural celebration.
There was also a raffle and auction on the night, with bids of around £1,000 for a signed Lewis Hamilton helmet. There was 250 people in attendance and the funds raised were once again donated to The Myton Hospices.
Martin Watts, Corporate Fundraiser at The Myton Hospices, said:
I was honoured to be invited to attend for a second year, and gave a – very short – speech to thank everyone at JLR for their amazing generosity at such an incredible event, and to outline what the money would be used for. It was truly an incredible event. Thank you!
The final total raised was over £11,000 – far exceeding expectations. Everyone at The Myton Hospices would like to thank Jaguar Land Rover, as well as everyone who attended and supported the event, for their continued support, ensuring we can be there for more people when they need us most, now and in the future.
