Over £80,000 has been raised at this year’s Snowdon for Sunrise Climb!

In the early hours of Sunday 15th September, almost 140 brave adventurers took on the challenge of climbing Mount Snowdon to raise vital funds for The Myton Hospices. This unforgettable experience saw our dedicated supporters brave relentless rain and 50mph winds!

Though the conditions became too much to quite reach the summit, standing at over 1,000 metres, their determination and bravery were truly inspiring!

Through the efforts of the climbers and the generosity of their supporters, over £80,000 has been raised so far! We couldn’t be more grateful to everyone involved for raising such an amazing amount for The Myton Hospices.

Take a look at the photos below to see the climbers in action!

We have to say a big thank you to Sky Blue Adventures, whose expert mountain guides ensured a safe experience for all participants during difficult circumstances.

Marc Dwyer, Challenge Events Fundraiser, said:

We are absolutely blown away by the support for this year’s Snowdon for Sunrise. Even though it may not have been the climb we were after, each and every one of our climbers showed incredible bravery and dedication for The Myton Hospices. Thank you to everyone involved!

We are a charity, not the NHS, and this year we need to raise £11 million of the £14.3 million it costs to continue providing our services free of charge to our patients and their loved ones. Every pound raised really does make a big difference to ensure we can be there for more people, now and in the future.

Thank you to everyone who supported our Snowdon for Sunrise Climb
to make it such a success!
