This full day interactive course, is designed to cover common situations which require an urgent and skilled response in the workplace, home and wider community. The training covers emergency first aid for infants, children and adults.
Sarah Monahan, our mandatory trainer, is a qualified instructor with Nuco Training Ltd, which is an approved centre with First Aid Awards Ltd, an Ofqual regulated awarding body. All participants that complete their training, will be awarded a nationally recognised certificate.
Course Overview:
- Action in an emergency and identifying priorities and hazards
- Primary and secondary assessment of the casualty
- Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation including use of a defibrillator
- Identification and emergency treatment of the following;
- Choking
- Shock
- Fainting
- Seizures
- Anaphylaxis
- Foreign bodies
- Minor bleeds, burns and scalds
We provide full use of range of mannikins, trainer defibrillators and interactive practical learning aids.
Please note: in order to successfully pass all first aid training, all participants will be required to demonstrate a range of practical skills including CPR and rescue breaths.
