This one-day training course has been designed to give healthcare professionals, social care providers and care home staff the knowledge and practical skills needed to deliver high-quality, person-centred end of life care for people with dementia.
Through expert-led teaching, you will gain a greater understanding of the unique challenges people with dementia can face at the end of life and learn how to recognise, asses and respond to their changing needs.

- Understand the barriers people with dementia can face in accessing high-quality palliative and end of life care
- Recognise deterioration in people living with dementia and understand when palliative care may be appropriate
- Identify the common signs and symptoms associated with the final stages of life and dying
- Develop practical approaches to managing end of life symptoms effectively and compassionately
- Learn about local services, resources and support available to help people with dementia and those important to them
